This distinguished coffee hails from the Murang’a region, subregion Kiiraini, boasting an altitude of 1,600 to 1,800 MASL. Cultivated at the Wahundra Factory, the coffee showcases varieties like Ruiru 11 and SL28, contributing to its exquisite flavour profile.
The washing process at Wahundra involves careful selection, disc pulping, 16-24 hours of fermentation, and a thorough wash. The parchment undergoes an additional 24-hour soak before drying on raised beds for 18-24 days, culminating in a coffee of remarkable sweetness, floral notes, and complexity.
