Coffee FAQs

Surprisingly we get asked this question a lot.  It is a tough question, as our coffee choice changes depending on the day, or time of day. We both like a light to medium roast to begin our day (most days).  Later in the day we shift between a fuller body coffee or decaf. (yes! have you tried our Decaf yet?)   

We both enjoy Coastal Decaf anytime after lunch or for specialty coffees in the evening.  

Truth is we love them all. We won’t sell it if we wouldn’t serve or drink it ourselves.  We recommend you try our Coffee Subscription and sample several of our brews over the coming year.

At Coastal Coffee, our goal is for you to have an unparalleled experience.  We have selected some of the best direct trade farm brews available for you to try.  If you are adventurous we have Roasters Choice packages for you as well (let us pick the brew for you).

All of our beans are of the highest quality, crazy fresh, ethically sustainable and artisan roasted. So there’s no way you can make a bad choice! 

We recommend you start out with one of our SUBSCRIPTIONS and try some of our fav’s.  We think you will love the variety. 

We are only shipping within Canada at this time.

All of our deliveries are with Canada Post.  Shipping rates are based on destination, size and weight of your package. 

We offer FREE SHIPPING for orders over $100.

And, if you are local to the area, FREE PICK UP directly at the Coastal Roastery is always an option on Saturday mornings 9am-1pm.

Our most common order is  5 – 6 bags (340g) per month.  This allows you to get a regular delivery, a nice variety of specialty coffee for your pantry and consumption, and optimizes your shipping costs. (We are currently offering FREE SHIPPING for orders over $100.)

We roast and ship the last week of every month.

We artisian roast our farm direct coffee here at our Roastery and ship to you direct, so you have it fresh within days.
