A well-rounded, washed SL-28 varietal from a family-owned mill in the West Valley region of Costa Rica.
In Costa Rican coffee, Reposado (Spanish for “rested”) refers to a specific processing method where ripe coffee cherries undergo a short, controlled “rest” or pre-fermentation in bags or baskets for a few days after picking, before or during drying, to develop deeper sweetness and complex fruit flavors before final processing. This technique, borrowed from winemaking, allows sugars and flavors to concentrate, creating a unique, sweeter, and fruitier cup profile.
